There is a new collaboration of KFC. After teaming up with Cheetos to launch a special sauce, or with Grefusa to create chicken-flavored pipes, among other alliances, it is the turn of Jumpers. Both brands have partnered to present a series of new products that seek to reflect the flavors as well as the personality and identity of their respective proposals.
They have made the collaboration known through social networks, a medium in which both develop a particularly active communication strategy and where they have solid communities. They have done so with a piece that explains the origin of the idea behind this particular union of forces: the suggestion from a fan.
The creative agency PS21 has been in charge of developing the creative concept of the campaign.
Thus, the video fictionalizes the ideation process. It shows the supposed Community Manager of KFC Spain, nicknamed “The Admin” and whose identity appears preserved with one of the chain’s packaging; and Álex, protagonist of several Jumpers advertising campaigns. Alberto, creator of the proposal, is also the protagonist of the piece and in it he shares how he came up with the idea.
In addition, both KFC and Jumpers have expanded information about the project through their social networks. They claim that the origin of the collaboration dates back to May 2021, when Alberto, user @pepe_pez07, shared a photo on X – then Twitter – with the already famous Eduardo and Jumpers sweater meme.
“Actively listening to users is a fundamental part of our social media strategy that has once again shown us what a powerful tool it is.“, expressed Beatriz Martínez, Brand Manager of KFC Spain and Portugal, in a statement. “On this occasion, it has given us the necessary clue to develop a collaboration that we had not thought of until now and a lot of fun content for our community.”.
The brands have recovered said publication and have initiated a conversation on the platform through their official accounts to communicate the collaboration. Alberto has also participated in this dialogue, who has reached an agreement with KFC and Jumpers to deliver your idea in exchange for 10,000 euros.
“Yesterday during the warm-up we gave 10,000 euros to a guy from Twitter who 3 years ago gave us the best idea in the world: combining KFC with jumpers“, commented the fried chicken chain on Instagram.
In addition, KFC and Jumpers have “formalized” the agreement, as attested by the photos shared in which Alberto can be seen collecting the check. “The other day @pepe_pez07 stopped by our office to formalize the deal and along the way we took some gorgeous photos. Things are coming @Jumpersoficial”, they have pointed out from KFC.
“A good idea can come from anywhere. And for us, that tweet was a chance to show that, aside from the usual memes, we listen and take our community very, very seriously. So much so that they are the ones who shape everything from the brand to its products.”, commented Rubén Sánchez, Creative Director of PS21.
The result of the initiative, as already listed on the KFC website, are two limited edition products: on the one hand, the Sauce Jumpersa condiment “with the genuine Jumpers butter flavor”; and on the other, the Jumper Bites, cheese snacks too “with the unmistakable Jumpers butter flavor“.
Both products can be purchased separately, but they are also offered included with the “La Sobrada” burger and its corresponding menus. They will be available from October 1 to December 31.

The collaboration aligns with KFC and Jumpers’ usual strategic approach, characterized by capitalizing on user generated content to build community and to integrate tactical business actions with brand entertainment on digital platforms. It also represents a movement to expand the reach and consumer base through linking products, values and attributes.
