A cat calmly lying on a windowsill, views of a peaceful city, a cup of hot coffee and pleasant background music. That is the atmosphere that has accompanied the LoFi girl for years, the protagonist of the popular YouTube channel LoFi Girl, which offers music uninterruptedly, and that those responsible for it intend to reproduce in a cafeteria that will be located in Paris.

Those responsible intend to bring the universe of the LoFi girl to a cafeteria in Paris

The virtual world created by the account, famous among students and teleworkers, will soon come to life in the French capital. LoFi Girl has announced the opening of a cafe, called “LoFi Café”, at 60 rue de Saint-Denis, near the Canopée des Halles, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, according to reports Le Parisien.

The information published so far by those responsible for the account is scarce, although they have shared a website and specific profiles for the establishment, which are still under construction and without content. In them they only announce that the opening will take place soon, and they define the cafeteria as “a cozy corner in the heart of Paris to rest, work and relax”.

However, LoFi Girl’s X account has echoed some photographs shared by users in which the exterior of the premises can be seen. You can see the now famous illustration of the LoFi girl, with her white headphones, her cat and her steaming cup of coffee. The windows also display a QR code that directs to the website and invites users to subscribe to receive news about the opening.

Created in 2017, the LoFi Girl channel has become a banner of internet culture. Since then he has been broadcasting ambient music uninterruptedly, a proposal that has earned him more than 15 million subscribers on YouTube and more than 2 million followers on social networks.

The initiative has been received with enthusiasm among the community of followers of the account, although some regret that the cafeteria will not open in Lyon, the city that appears in the background of the music videos that accompany the study or work of thousands of people around the world.

The LoFi Café is understood as a new example of brands’ commitment to physical experiences as a lever to build community and connect their followers. In this sense, the cafeteria will act as a natural extension of a digital corner that promotes calm, concentration and relaxation, and will allow users to experience the proposal live.

However, this is not the YouTube channel’s first foray into the in-person environment. LoFi Girl has its own online store in which it sells merchandising, such as vinyl records with the music that can be found in your account; clothing items with the image of the LoFi girl; or decoration items inspired by the popular illustration.
