The campaign, baptized as “Fire Catchers” (fire hunters), reimagine the use of the waiting screen. During those 5-10 minutes before a streamer begins its broadcast, instead of animations or Loops generic, a live transmission is shown from High Risk French forests. After several alerts, the system launches a notification to the local emergency operations center, activating an immediate response.

As part of the campaign, educational materials are being disseminated that help viewers visually identify the signals of a possible fire, thus multiplying the efficacy of the system without overloading existing infrastructure.

Since its test phase in Hérault, launched on July 14, the initiative has mobilized audiences of almost 600,000 followers through collaboration with French Streamers such as Aypierre (477k), Krl_stream (107k) or Zesadpanda (44k).

With more than 250,000 firefighters mobilized annually in France, “Fire Catchers” aspires to add hundreds of thousands of eyes, extending a collaborative protection network from the digital environment to the most vulnerable natural territories.
