Last night the Eslava Theater in Madrid hosted the Awards Ceremony of the 25th edition of the Grand Prize for Innovationin which the 52 candidates that have been chosen Product of the Year 2025 were announced after a study of more than 10,000 people representative of the Spanish population.

The Product of the Year is a national competition in which consumers choose the most innovative products in Mass Consumption. It was born in France in 1987 and is currently celebrated in more than 30 countries on 5 continents. This year marked the 25th anniversary in Spain, the first country to internationalize the award.
Thus, worldwide, the opinion of more than 4.5 billion consumers is expressed in this vote on new products, becoming the largest independent recognition of brand innovation.

The winners in Spain have been designated after a study carried out last October among the consumer panel of Netquest and Samplia to a selection of new products launched on the market between January 1, 2023 and October 31, 2024 in the Food, Hygiene-Cosmetics, Drugstore, Appliances, Home, Parapharmacy, Bazaar and Services sectors.

The more than 10,000 consumers consulted have valued innovation and degree of purchase intention of each of the candidate products. In addition, a product test has been carried out on 100 consumers per participant to assess qualities such as quality-price ratio, packaging, flavor, perfume…, as well as the purchase intention after the test and the aspects to improve for each product. .

Among the candidates of manufacturer’s branda total of 40 have been chosen Products of the Year 2025 after the vote of 10,018 consumers.

The winners belong to 37 different companies, both national and international. Health care, the environment as well as home products and services continue to be the main protagonists in the trends of innovation among the winners.

The award recognizes not only the manufacturer’s brand innovations, but also the distributor brand. Specifically, 40 manufacturer brand products and 12 distributor brand products have been awarded.

The award-winning products will be identified throughout 2025 with the logo Chosen Product of the Year in their communication and will benefit from special communication actions promoted by the organization. A recognition that is valued by consumers given that 77% declare that they would buy a product identified with this distinction.
