The free tour company GuruWalk, which is based in Valencia, has urgently designed the platform “Anem!” which in Spanish means “Let’s go!” This is a free tool to facilitate the shared transportation and, in this way, help the mobility of those affected by the impact of the damage and contribute to relieving traffic resulting from transportation, communication and infrastructure problems.
As they point out in a statement, the service has been designed to help residents of the metropolitan area of Valencia and facilitate travel organization which until a week ago was carried out in private vehicles or by public transport, currently inoperative in many places.
As they point out, “Anem!” allows the drivers offer seats available in their vehicles, whether car or motorcycle, and to Travelers post their transportation needs. The trips are visualized on a map, on which the. Red lines represent demand and green lines represent supply. Through the platform you can start the communication by WhatsApp with people interested in making trips.
“The use of the platform is completely free for drivers and travelers. However, at GuruWalk we want to suggest to passengers who have not been directly affected and who want to join this initiative to decongest public roads, that they offer the driver to share the costs of the trip. In this case, the compensation will be direct between those involved, without intermediation or intervention of the platform.”, they comment from GuruWalk.
The company’s intention with this tool is to maximize efficiency and minimize the impact on the roads at a time when there may be complications due to cuts in public transport. Some of GuruWalk’s own employees have been affected by the emergency, one of the aspects that has also motivated the company to put its technological expertise at the service of immediate and tangible solutions.
The platform was launched on Monday, November 4. This is the first version, although the company claims to be working to improve service, collecting experiences and suggestions from users. “The objective with which ‘Anem!’ was born is to help the population of Valencia in the face of this unprecedented catastrophe and its medium-term effects, which is why the GuruWalk engineering team will work to ensure that the functionalities solve the specific problems of Valencians.“, they comment.
