Three friends get together to enjoy a game of a mysterious board game, but what begins as a mere hobby turns into a fast-paced mission to defend several organizations from external cyber threats. This, which could well be the plot of a new version of “Jumanji”, is the plot of “Titan Connect: this is not a game”, the interactive film with which Telefónica seeks to convey to the business public the advantages of its solution for organizations.
The fiction production has been conceived and developed by TBS, the company’s creative production company, and over 45 minutes it aims to reflect how technology is a key element for risk management, operational resilience and business continuity in an increasingly digital and connected environment. It proposes a fictional story that has been built from real situations and the advice of Telefónica experts in cybersecurity, critical infrastructures and digital transformation.
In this sense, the film places the protagonists in three different scenarios, inspired by risks that can affect organizations in any sector: a hospital that is the victim of a cyber attack that compromises health care; a hotel facing a massive blackout in the middle of high season; and a logistics operator that loses its network connectivity and sees its operations and relationship with its customers threatened.

Beyond the fact that the content has been specifically conceived for a business target, the particularity of the film, which will be released in theaters, lies in an interactive approach focused on making the viewer an active part of the story. As explained from TBS to reason.Whythe public will be able to decide the end of the story thanks to digital devices located in the room, which turns viewing into an immersive experience.
“Who said B2B marketing has to be boring?“said Agustín Cárdenas, Director of Sectoral Marketing and B2B Customer Experience at Telefónica Spain, through social networks. “Telefónica has just given a brilliant twist to the way of selling connectivity and cybersecurity: bringing its star product for companies to the big screen. The case demonstrates that a technical, critical and complex telecommunications product can also be communicated through entertainment, narrative and user experience, without losing an iota of rigor.”.
“Titan Connect: this is not a game” begins its run in cinemas with its premiere on October 29 at the Capitol Cinemas in Madrid, which will be followed by a roadshow through different Spanish cities, with appointments scheduled in Barcelona (November 12), Seville (November 18) and Bilbao (November 25). Then, in 2027, the film can be enjoyed through Movistar Plus+, Telefónica’s streaming platform.
The launch of “Titan Connect: this is not a game” occurs nine months after the presentation of Titan Connect, an ecosystem of uninterrupted connectivity solutions and services for companies and administrations. As explained by the company, it brings together standalone 5G (SA), fiber, and satellite connection; cloud and edge computing; AI-based observability services, automation capabilities, power supply and 24×7 secure management to keep critical communications and services operational.
Its objective is to guarantee that companies have the necessary infrastructure to face unexpected events, threats or critical situations. “Being prepared for the unexpected has become a business priority“, commented Borja Ochoa, President of Telefónica Spain and General Director of B2B, in a statement. And regarding the film, he stated: “At Telefónica, we want to be the best way for companies and administrations to access digital technologies, and invite them to reflect on how anticipation and preparation can make a difference in a critical situation.”.
