The one of Suchard is one of the christmas ads most anticipated, for many the one that really marks the beginning of the festive season. And the nougat brand Mondelēz International has already launched its message for this year, again together with the creative agency Ogilvy and the study Passion Picturesand trusting, once again, in the power of animation.
“Martin, a Christmas story” seeks to remember the importance of connections that are established during the holidays, regardless of where we are, and highlights hope as an essential element. The story presents a narrative similar to that of the movie “Wall-E” and puts the brand’s discourse in the hands of a robot that works on Mars.
Thus, it presents an emotional message about the importance of traditions and the magic of Christmas, capable of transcending distances and borders, through the loneliness of the robot Martin, which ends up undone thanks to the connection he has established with humans. To accompany him on specific dates, they send him nougat and a companion.
“With this year’s spot we want to show that there is always a way to keep the spirit of Christmas alive, and Suchard is there to remind us.”, expressed Miguel Alonso Lamamié de Clairac, Senior Brand Manager Seasonal Spain & Candy Iberia of Mondelēz, in a statement.
“This year we wanted to go one step further to universalize the brand’s message and its purpose. It doesn’t matter who you are, how you are, where you live, what your circumstances are, even if you’re not human, the most important thing is to be together and celebrate Christmas.“, pointed out, for his part, Jesús Rasines, Executive Creative Director of Ogilvy.
Suchard has taken advantage of the occasion of the launch of its Christmas advertisement to communicate that it is contributing to the support of people affected by dana in Valencia with financial donations, products and essential items through charitable organizations and their sales teams in the affected areas.
It has also announced the expansion of its product range with the launch of the Suchard chocolates, which he describes as “the taste of Suchard made bonbon”. A new product with which it ensures it reaffirms itself as an innovative brand.
