“Q4 is just around the corner.” It is the CTA (call to action) that Spotify Advertising is being used in an outdoor advertising campaign that seeks to attract the attention of advertisers and their agencies, who should now begin planning their Christmas campaigns on the streaming audio platform.

Under the claim “Q4 is calling”the brand has branded several of London’s famous red telephone booths that have now become small winter wonderlands with the Spotify corporate green as the main color.

As part of the activation, this week a booth was placed in front of the Dentsu in London, which has been followed by the office of Publicis in the west of this same city, with the aim of attracting the attention of agencies for their Christmas media plans. Thus, marketing professionals are invited to enter the booth where a phone rings. Pressing any key activates different ideas and tips narrated by DJ Xavier “X” Jernigan about The effectiveness of a Christmas media strategy on Spotify.

According to its own research, Spotify has revealed that a quarter of its UK users start christmas shopping in the month of October and two out of three listeners listen to podcasts while doing their Christmas shopping.

Ed Couchman, Sales Director for Northern Europe at Spotify, has stated that they are getting the message across “through a fun and interactive experience that speaks to the creativity and positive space we can offer advertisers and the success that media campaigns on Spotify bring.”

Spotify data also reveals a strong correlation between the platform and brand engagement, as well as a increased tendency to buy in key periods of the fourth quarter. 57% of Gen Z listeners say brands advertising on Spotify are trustworthy and they are also 27% more likely to participate in Black Friday.

Couchman states that “Gen Z is our fastest growing cohort when it comes to listening to music and podcasts on Spotify. We believe this is because we offer something different: a deeper, more intimate understanding of this generation through the music, podcasts, playlists and fandoms that form the immersive soundtrack of their lives.”
