Santa can't do his job at a hotel in Airbnb Christmas listing

Airbnb has made its stance on hotels very clear in its Christmas ad, which features a desperate Santa Claus. The animated short, told in the style of the verse story “A Visit from Saint Nicholas”, highlights with a sense of humor the challenges of staying in a hotelseen through the eyes of Santa Claus, who this year finds himself immersed in a series of difficulties to deliver gifts. From navigating the chaos of a crowded lobby to dealing with packed elevators, floors that look identical, and a room key that doesn’t work.

In addition, the brand wanted to make a series of winks, what is known as “Easter eggs”, in the advertisement. Thus, for example, looking closely at the red suit of Santa Clausyou can see that the gold stitching on his coat is in the shape of Belo, the Airbnb logo.

The advertisement will be broadcast on social networks, television and cinemas starting this November 28 in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, Mexico and Brazil.
