Friday July 31, 2026, the Polish town of Nowy Sacz hosts the 17th edition of Miss Supranational, one of the major international beauty contests, alongside Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth. And this year, France believes strongly: it is Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, who wears the tricolor scarf.
One competition, 66 candidates, a global issue

Every summer, Miss Supranational brings together dozens of representatives from all over the world – 66 candidates for this edition, with some notable returns such as China, Sri Lanka or Paraguay, and a first visit to Bahrain. The final is held at the Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, in the heart of southern Poland, a region which regularly hosts this event which has become a classic in the beauty pageant calendar.
New for this edition: the organization now allows candidates who have already participated in the past to return after two years, and also opens the competition to divorced women and mothers, provided they are not married. A sign of the developments experienced by these competitions, which have historically been very codified.
At the end of the evening, the Brazilian Eduarda Braum, title holder, will hand over her crown to her replacement.
What audiences will see during the finale
As with any major beauty contest, the final evening combines several highlights: parades in evening wear, passage in swimsuits, presentation of the candidate and her country, then questions and answers to decide between the finalists. Beforehand, the candidates have already gone through several preliminary tests – fashion shows, interviews, thematic challenges – which make it possible to award direct qualifications for the Top 20, as well as additional prizes such as that of photogenics.
It was precisely one of these prizes that Eve Gilles won on July 28, after two preliminary shows, one in a swimsuit, the other in an evening dress. An award which comes in addition to another distinction obtained earlier in the month.
Eve Gilles, a flawless journey so far
Arriving in mid-July in Poland to prepare for the competition, the 23-year-old Northerner quickly stood out from the other candidates. On July 14, the organization announced her victory in the Miss Supra Influencer Europe challenge, offering her direct qualification for the Top 20. Two weeks later, she received the photogenic sash, causing great emotion in the young woman, under the eyes of her parents who had come specially to support her in Poland.
These two distinctions obviously do not guarantee the crown, but they place Eve Gilles among the serious contenders for the title at the dawn of the grand final.
An adventure that is part of a long journey
Miss France 2024, Eve Gilles had already represented France at Miss Universe 2025, where she rose to the Top 30. Here she is the very first Miss France to compete for the title of Miss Supranational, which gives a particular flavor to her participation. A student at the University of Lille and also spotted for her notable appearance in Dancing with the Stars, she approaches this final with a very favorable dynamic.
