Marta Gutiérrezso far senior vice president of Ogilvy Spain and CEO of Ogilvy Madrid, has left the company and joins Dentsu Creative assuming CEO’s position for our country, as we have been able to know from Reason.WHY.
The directive will assume the responsibilities of Tomás Froes, who has been the CEO of Dentsu Creative Iberia during the last two years and who will remain, however, within the company.
He assumed the leadership of Ogilvy Spain, along with Jordi Urbea, after the departure of Cristina Barbosa
Marta Gutiérrez assumed the leadership of Ogilvy Spain, along with Jordi Urbea, CEO of Ogilvy Barcelona, after the departure of this year of Cristina Barbosa, who served as president since May 2022. Both have reported to the CEO of Ogilvy Emea, Patou Nuytemans.
“It has been six wonderful and unrepeatable years. And I have had a great fate of having a great team by my side. I certainly take much more than I leave.”he has assured on the occasion of his departure, that he will be effective on August 31.
As the agency has confirmed in a statement, it will be Jordi Urbea who assumes the role of CEO of Ogilvy Spainwhile Roberto FaraChief Creative Officer of Ogilvy in Spain and Global Creative Experience Lead, will continue to lead the agency’s creativity. Together they will lead under a model of colideancing that seeks to reinforce the synergy between business and creativity, joining the capabilities of the offices of Madrid and Barcelona.
A trajectory in various agencies
Marta Gutiérrez has training in political science and publicity and public relations. Before his stage in Ogilvy, which began in the summer of 2019, he worked as CEO of the agency Burns For more than four years, a period in which he promoted the business and team of the creative firm.
Previously, between 2004 and 2015, Gutiérrez developed his professional career in the agency Shackletonacquired by Accenture in 2019. During that stage, the Directive occupied the positions of Accounts Director and General Director.
He had previously exercised as account director at BBDO counterpoint.
Recently, Marta Gutiérrez has been part of the list of the professionals from the most admired creative agencies in Spainaccording to the Agency Scope 2025 report, prepared by Scopen. On the other hand, he has been involved in the candidacy of Juan García-Escudero for the presidency of the Creativity Club, being part of the list of professionals to be part of the Board of Directors.
Marta Gutiérrez is also part of the jury of the 2025 efficacy awards, who is chaired this year by Nathalie Picquot, Head of Corporate Marketing, Brand Experience and Digital Engagement of Banco Santander.
