This is explained in an open letter published on the Meta website, in which it exposes its vision regarding the future of technology and the way in which the company intends to address it. He points out that the improvement of artificial intelligence systems is slow but undeniable and considers that in the coming years AI will allow the creation and discovery of unimaginable things.
He claims to feel extremely optimistic about the impact of superintelligence on the progress of humanity, although he does not end up specifying what will differentiate to a superintelligence from a standard artificial intelligence. “It has the potential to start a new era of personal empowerment where people will have greater capacity to improve the world in the direction they choose”, He says, both in the letter and in the video he has published on his Instagram profile.
Zuckerberg says that the most significant impact of AI on our lives will come from that all people have a personal superintelligence that helps them reach goals, create what they want to see in the world, live adventures, be best friends of their loved ones and grow to become the person they want to be.
“The goal vision is to provide personal superintelligence to all. We believe in putting this power in the hands of people to direct it towards what they value in their own lives”, Points the Meta CEO. He explains that the difference with respect to other industry players is that they believe that superintelligence must focus on the automation of all valuable work, and then humanity will live on what it produces.
