Heineken Spain has communicated the appointment of Maria Oliveira as new marketing director, whose incorporation became effective last January. It replaces Lucía López-Rúa, who has served since April 2021 and now assumes the position of Regional Director of Commerce for America.
In his new position Oliveira will report directly to Etienne Strijp, president of the company in our country, and its main objective will be Heinken’s portfolio impulse in Spain -Composed for brands such as Heineken, Cruzcampo, the Eagle, Amstel, Aperados or thief- adapting to the needs of the current consumer.

Two decades of marketing in great consumption
Maria Oliveira, of Portuguese origin and with training in Economics, has a trajectory of more than two decades in the discipline of marketing in the large consumption sector. He began to forge his experience in 2001 as part of the team of Unilever Portugalof which he was part for almost twelve years and in which he performed roles of diverse responsibility. Among them, Marketing Communications Manager or Brand & Trade Marketing Manager for the ice cream division.
In 2012 he joined Central de Cervejas and drinks, Belonging to the Heineken Group, assuming the responsibilities of Senior Brand Manager for Sagres. She also served as a sustainability director and in the last stage, which has ended in January, served as Marketing director.
From Heineken, Oliveira’s work stands out during this stage, highlighting its involvement in the remodeling of the local offer, the impulse of the traditional Portuguese beer brand Sagres, the construction of a premium segment in Portugal, and the achievement of good results in volume of Heineken.
