The writing products brand Stabilo and the cosmetics brand Kiko Milano have joined forces in a lipstick collection that transfers the silhouette of the iconic highlighters to the universe of makeup and beauty. Cobranding is based, as the brands express in a statement, on the idea of creativity and color as forms of personal expression.
The result of the alliance is five lip shades presented in the format of Stabilo Boss Mini markers and with names inspired by the world of writing, individuality and self-confidence. Thus, you can find brown, under the name “Fine Print”; the mauve, called “Afterthought”; the orange one, called “Don’t quote me”; red or “On my radar”; and fuchsia, which has been nicknamed “Pink(er)”.
As the brands point out, the items in the collection establish a connection between the gesture of highlighting words and phrases on paper with the highlighter and the act of painting lips to highlight one’s personality through makeup. They also ensure that the products invite consumers to experience color following the philosophy of quality and attention to detail that Stabilo and Kiko Milano share.
The collection has been launched through Kiko Milano points of sale in France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, at a price of 12.99 euros each lipstick.
It went on sale on November 5 and, as explained by the Kiko Milano marketing area to reason.Whysold out in the online store in less than five hours and there are barely any units left in physical stores at the time of writing this news.
As Kiko Milano explains, the collection reflects their willingness to collaborate with creators and brands that use color to tell their own stories. “We want to push the boundaries of color and creativity even further and inspire our community to stand out and express their unique personality.“commented Simone Dominici, CEO of Kiko Milano. “Working with Stabilo allows us to transfer this philosophy to new product categories”.
For their part, Stabilo explains that the collection represents a new way of materializing their brand philosophy, expressed in “Color, creativity and confidence”, as well as their motto “Highlight what matters”. The initiative is also an expansion of the brand into the beauty sector and an evolution from the functional to the emotional.
“For generations, Stabilo has helped people express themselves through
of the color. Today we take that spirit beyond paper, exploring new
dimensions of creativity and personal expression“commented Michele Molon, CEO of the Schwan-STtabilo Group and CEO of Stabilo International. “Our collaboration with Kiko Milano demonstrates how two iconic brands, coming from different universes, can break with the established and give life to something unexpected“.
