Inditex has opened its new store Zara Man in Madrid and, as part of it, has presented Zacaffe, its cafeteria concept with which it aims to complement the shopping experience. The objective is to add a differentiating point compared to the competition and connect on another level with consumers with a new establishment formula that it intends to extend to other markets.
The new store, located on Hermosilla Street, represents the materialization of the plans advanced by the company last September. He then presented his new store concept through the opening in the center of Lisbon that, among other things, included a cafeteria and pastry shop area.
After Madrid, Zara will carry Zacaffe to other countries throughout 2025, the first stops being Japan and Korea.
The cafeteria, inaugurated last Friday, has been designed by the design agency Art Recherche et Industrie and, as stated Europa Pressevokes a neomudejar architectural style, although under a modern prism. The intention has been to emulate the Arab House, located a few blocks away from the Retiro Park. The style can be seen in the tiles that decorate the space, in the use of brick, or in the shape of the plates and cutlery.
The Zara Man store has 700 square meters, and Zacaffé has a Independent access from the street. In this way, users will be able to go to the space only to have coffee, or they will be able, if they wish, to see the latest men’s collection from the Inditex brand. However, the cafeteria’s hours will be the same as those of the store.
For now, Zacaffé’s proposal is simple. It offers coffees and teas, and also pastries. Although, as stated Expansionthose responsible are working to expand the gastronomic offer in the future, by incorporating savory options and other drinks. The cafeteria, however, will not be operated by Inditex but by an external partner.
Beyond food, Zacaffé has associated your own merchandising line. This includes some clothing items, such as t-shirts, caps, tote bags or polo shirts, and also items such as cups, plates or thermoses.
Inditex’s goal is not to include Zacaffé in all its stores, but only in selected locations or flagships. The Next openings will take place in Tokyo (Japan) and Seoul (South Korea).
In this regard, both the brand and the concept will be homogeneous and exportable to different markets.
