Iberdrola It is proud to lead and be a world reference in terrestrial wind energy, a position that, in part, would have achieved thanks to innovation. And this innovation is what, over the last weeks, has not only sought to capture in their messages, but in their format, through their activations of outdoor advertising.

Those who have recently walked through the center of Madrid will have been able to see a series of canvases with which the company wanted to highlight their commitment to renewable energy in general, and their progress in wind energy in particular. The company has deployed a wide exterior advertising strategy in different cities in Spain to continue working its perception and positioning in the category.

The canvas stands out for 3D creativity and integrated lighting

The canvas located in the Goya area, in the center of the capital, has been a good example of this. Creativity, devised by Mrs. Rushmore and with planning Zenith, He has shown a 3D corporeal of one of the recognizable windmills that are used in the collection of wind energy. The piece stands out not only because of its volume, noticeable throughout the day, but for the integrated light that allows you to communicate the message also at night.

“We are like Madrid. We have energy for a while,” Iberdrola has transferred for weeks in that location, establishing a parallelism with the character and activity of the city. At night, the lighting has highlighted the word “energy” and the company’s logo.
The message, however, has encountered contrary opinions that irony have highlighted, since Madrid is the only autonomous community in our country that lacks wind farms, according to the wind business association.

In October last year Iberdrola said that the electricity distributed by the company reached 177,943 GWh in the first nine months of 2024, with wind energy representing the 41% of its total energy mix. In Spain it has wind farms with installed power that reach 6,550 MW, and presence of wind facilities in 13 autonomous communities.

Also in Madrid, Iberdrola has placed another canvas that has also focused on energy and has played with the role of this during the night. Thanks to fluorescent paint and ultraviolet lights, it unveiled part of the message that could not be read during the day. Thus, to the phrase “Madrid is like us. Inexhaustible energy of the day”, it was added “and also at night”.

Valencia has also witnessed external advertising that the company and its partners are carrying out to communicate its renewable energy offer. There, in a line similar to the aforementioned canvases, Iberdrola wanted to highlight its distribution of energy through the supports themselves.

“We fill Valencia with green energy” is the phrase that creativity has shown during the day, next to the image of a mill with a background. At night, the contour of the wind installation has enlightened green, as well as the road and the buildings of the town, reflecting the way the company feeds the population.

Before all this, Iberdrola already advanced the commitment he would make this year for external advertising during the bells. In Atresmedia’s retransmission, he spread a piece of Simulated External Advertising (FOOH) Starring Roque, the nice flashlight that the company chose for its Christmas campaign, also devised by Mrs. Rushmore.

In that piece, with SINDIE production, the fish was shown by jumping from a canvas located at the Puerta del Sol, in which in the background a marine wind park could be perceived, to one of the fountains of the square. With this, the company emphasized its speech on respect and care for the environment, highlighting the value of nature as a true source of energy.
