ESIC University has launched the solidarity campaign “Together against DANA”, with which he is seeking to motivate and mobilize his university community to offer help in the most affected areas after the impact of dana in the Valencian Community.
Thus, ESIC University Valencia has launched different initiatives to contribute in the municipalities where the storm has had the greatest impact. These include assistance in the area with cleaning work, debris removal and product distribution basic necessities and medicines.
They are also assisting as volunteers to food banks, and offering support and accompaniment to older people in nursing homes, and also helping children with special needs. The educational institution also ensures that it is assisting in the collection of insurance documentation for the processing of lost vehicles or houses damaged by the storm.
It has also created a kind of call center through which to carry out appliance donations for affected families; and is providing support to animal shelters and foundations through the collection of blankets, feed, huts, cleaning products and utensils, feeders or sanitary material.
Likewise, it has created a platform to make donations to different projects underway to help affected people. Among these you can find World Central Kitchenwhich cooks and provides hot food to affected people and volunteers; he La Torr Occupational Centere, whose funds will be used to purchase work equipment and furniture; own ESIC Universityto provide tools and work equipment to volunteers; and the company Alapar catering, who is also distributing food.
ESIC University points out in its statement that these initiatives respond to its ccommitment to be an active part of society, the local community and reinforce the values of solidarity and collaboration. The institution points out that it faces the moment with demand and responsibility, bringing together will and efforts.
