“El Chiringuito” has turned to its own social networks to look for advertisers and open the door to new commercial proposals. The official account of the program published a promotional video on X in which it reviews some of its arguments for brands and ends by directly showing a Gmail email to contact its commercial team.

“Do you know the Chiringuito universe?”poses the publication before highlighting its “historic figures in TV audience”, its presence on social networks and its leadership in commercial targets. The message concludes with an explicit call: “If you want to be part of this adventure, write to us here”followed by the address elchiringuitocomercial@gmail.com.

The decision is striking for transferring a task usually associated with the commercial teams of audiovisual groups to an open social network and also doing it through a Gmail address instead of a corporate domain. The publication has generated comments among users precisely because of that formula: “The numbers are so good that they are looking for investors on Twitter through a Gmail”comments one user.

The search for advertisers occurs shortly after the move of “El Chiringuito”. Josep Pedrerol and his team left Atresmedia this summer after more than a decade and signed a long-term agreement with Mediaset, which placed the program mainly on Energy and also opened broadcast windows on Cuatro.

The format began its new stage with good records. It debuted on Energy on August 17 with around 5% share and 188,000 viewers, and its first weeks remained above 5%. However, as the season has progressed, the data has been decreasing. This first Monday of October registered a 2.9% share and 116,000 viewers.
As a reference, “El Chiringuito” closed the 2024-2025 season on Mega with a 4% share and 172,000 viewers on average, and between August and May of the following season it maintained that 4%, with 156,000 viewers.

“El Chiringuito” maintains its broadcasts on Energy and on Sundays on Cuatro.

Mediaset reduces one of its windows in Four

The evolution has also led Mediaset to modify part of the deployment initially planned for the program. Upon arrival, the group decided to exploit the format in different windows: in addition to its nightly broadcasts on Energy and Sundays on Cuatro, since August 18 it incorporated reruns at 8:15 a.m. on Cuatro.

That strip had been one of the first positive indicators of the operation. The first replacement reached a 4% share and 65,000 viewers, improving the records of the content that previously occupied that space. However, subsequent emissions moved around 2% and fell to 1.3%.
Mediaset has ended up withdrawing those morning reruns and recovering “Toma Salami!” and “Cobra Alert.”
“El Chiringuito” maintains, however, its regular broadcast on Energy and its scheduled presence on Sundays on Cuatro coinciding with League matches.

The behavior on the latter channel has been more favorable: its first four Sundays would have averaged a 6.4% share and 228,000 viewers, while a Champions special reached 7.5% and 293,000 viewers.

The situation contrasts with the expectations that accompanied the signing in July. Mediaset then presented the arrival of Pedrerol as one of its notable additions for the new season and Jaime Guerra, Director of the group’s Content Production Division, defined the format as “a great added value” for its entertainment offer linked to sports news.

The incorporation also occurred at a time when Mediaset was seeking to regain ground in audiences. Telecinco had closed the 2025-2026 season with an 8.9% share, its worst record since the launch of the network, and the group faced September with new formats and signings to reinforce its programming.

Two months after that announcement, “El Chiringuito” has also chosen to directly use the reach of its digital community as a commercial showcase. A particularly explicit formula that involves showing your credentials to the brands and publicly leaving an email so that any interested advertiser can contact the program.
