Ricard CamarenaValencian chef with two Michelin stars, is one of the chefs who are collaborating in the preparation and distribution of food and cooked dishes among those affected by the floods.

Camarena has been carrying out the work and distribution since the end of last week and in a post on his Instagram account he commented that They were distributing between 10,000 and 15,000 dishes a day, although in a report published last Saturday, November 2 in the newspaper The Country He pointed out that the day before they had prepared 25,000 rations to distribute.

Camera is working in the food company factory Costa Brava Mediterranean Foodswhere he and his wife, Carmen Buñols, lead a team of 80 people. The donations of food, ingredients and materials come, according to what the chef has published on social networks, from the company itself. Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, Mercadona, Makro and the merchants of the Colón market, in Valencia, apart from anonymous donors.

The initiative is in contact with municipalities and mayors to find out specific needs and also has the collaboration of volunteer transporters and the participation in the distribution of Camarena’s own employees, who know certain affected areas well.

“From Valencia to Valencia”

On November 5, the following great chefs had already confirmed their participation in the initiative – which will have a zero line for those who cannot attend the dinners and wish to donate: José Andrés (United States), Harry Sasson (Colombia), Massimo Bottura (Italy), René Redzepi (Denmark), Alex Atala (Brazil) and those living in Spain Joan Roca, Nandu Jubany, Eneko Atxa, Angel León, Pepe Rodríguez, Javier Olleros and Pepe Solla.
