Airbnb.org has joined Messengers of Peace to offer free temporary accommodation, both to emergency personnel and to people who have been displaced or evacuated from their homes due to the flooding in Valencia and Castellón. Stays will be covered by Airbnb.org and the generosity of Airbnb hosts. Messengers of Peace are in charge of identifying and connecting those who need this temporary accommodation.

Those interested in offering stays to people affected by the floods in Castellón and Valencia can visit Airbnb.org for more information about how to start hosting. Hosts who share their homes through Airbnb.org have AirCover on all their reservations, damage protection and liability insurance.

Those who wish can also help affected local communities and emergency personnel through a donation on Airbnb.org. 100% of donations go towards providing emergency shelter.

Airbnb has also activated its Cancellation Policy due to Extraordinary Circumstances for several of the affected areas in the Valencian Community with the aim of providing greater support to the communities impacted by the floods. Under this policy, hosts can cancel without fees or other measures, and guests who have a reservation in these areas can also cancel and receive a refund. Airbnb’s customer service team is also available to help with any questions.
