The teams that are part of the Association of Basketball Clubs (ACB) They have launched different initiatives with which they want to show their support and provide help to the victims of the floods that have devastated several towns in the province of Valencia. Raising and donating funds, and organizing the collection of necessary materials and shipping thereof, are among the most common.
One of the clubs that is part of the ACB is Valencia Basketwhich from the first moment maintains, through its social networks, a constant channel of information about the different activities it is carrying out in support of the victims.
One of them is collaboration with his former player José Simón, currently a firefighter for the Valencia City Councilwhich has launched, together with the NGO Bombers pel Món, a campaign to raise funds to buy motor pumps and pressure washers and distribute them at ground zero of the tragedy.
Likewise, the club offered its facilities L’Alqueria del Basket as a reception center for those affected and currently maintains it as a base of operations for the military units that collaborate in helping the victims.
The ACB League website details the different fundraising initiatives (rows 0, raffles for signed shirts, donation of income from box office and sales in stores, direct donations) and collection of materials for shipment to the affected areas that have taken over the clubs that make up the association. In the relationship for now they are Baskonia, Baxi Manresa, Casademont Zaragoza, Dreamland Gran Canaria, Leyma Coruña, Surne Bilbao Basket, Unicaja, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Hiopos Lleida and Covirán Granada.
The association’s website also prominently offers the information necessary to make donations to Red Cross.
