Times have changed, and so have the gifts we give for Christmas. Recognizing the gap between teenagers desperate for independence with their smartphones and parents worried about what this entails, Orange and Publicis Conseil have created a Christmas musical to promote their “Safer Phone” option. This service filters unwanted calls, blocks malicious links, and protects against cyber threats.
The campaign was orchestrated by Publicis Conseil, produced by BIG and directed by Réalité. It thus presents the debate between parents and adolescent children about the use of smartphones in an original and positive way, to the rhythm of the emblematic Christmas carol. “Carol of the Bells”reinterpreted by Clément Ducol.
In the middle of this confrontation, appears an Orange advisor that listens to the demands of teenagers and the concerns of parents before announcing a solution to reconcile them: “SaferPhone”, a refurbished, cyber-secure smartphone with personalized advice.
The campaign has already been released on television and social networks and these media will be followed by cinema and press starting November 28. From December 1 to 24, a “argument calendar”as the brand has explained, in which emblematic sports figures (Ousman Dembélé, Sakina Karchaoui), eSports representatives (Karmine Corp) and influencers (Kayane, Aypierre) will participate.
