A festival of lights to the rhythm of “Satisfaction” in McDonald's Christmas ad

McDonald’s spreads the magic of Christmas this year with “The Gift of McDonald’s”a new campaign developed by Leo Burnett London that transforms the chaos of the holidays into a moment of joy. As part of its “Fancy a McDonald’s” brand platform, the ad uses universal insight of taking a break during the hustle and bustle. It was directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, known for iconic ads such as Sony’s “Balls” and Coca-Cola’s “It’s Mine.”

The story stars two exhausted parents who go through a whirlwind day of Christmas preparations. His spontaneous trip to McDonald’s triggers an unexpected spectacle with shiny golden arches, snowball-throwing characters like Grimace, and even a huge Big Mac that comes to life. All this at the pace of “Satisfaction” by Benny Benassi. The result is a drive-thru experience filled with light, laughter and Christmas spirit.

The advertisement has already premiered on Television, coinciding with the launch on the British network ITV of the program “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here”.
