Mixing milk or yogurt with granola, fruit and other ingredients is already common in the eating routines of many Spanish homes. Now it takes on a more institutional character with “Kanari Bol”, the collaboration established by Plátano de Canarias and Special K, from Kellogg’s, to promote the combined consumption of their products at breakfast.

“Kanari Bol” gives a name to what, according to the brands in a statement, is already a natural combination and a practice that is part of the daily lives of many consumers. Referencing data from the Worldpanel Usage Panel Spain 2025 study, they indicate that banana is the fruit most frequently chosen to accompany oatmeal granolas.

They assure that it is a simple, versatile and recognizable proposal

The association will be based on the promotion of the joint consumption of Plátano de Canarias and the Special K Granola Classic variety, made with 100% whole grain oats. The union of the products offers, on the one hand, the energy and differential flavor of the fruit and, on the other, the texture and high fiber content of the cereal, which contains 73% whole oats.

The brands assure that the result is “a simple, versatile and recognizable proposal, which fits with current consumption habits and is especially aimed at families, with the aim of inspiring new consumption occasions“And as part of the initiative they will offer free tastings at different points of sale throughout the country.

“Kanari Bol” is born from territories shared by Plátano de Canarias and Special K, such as healthy eating or the importance of physical activity and sports, since both act as sponsors of the Spanish Basketball Team. In this sense, the collaboration will also be reflected in sports, and on social networks.

What’s more, the brands have already carried out joint actions, such as the special activation carried out in the Caja Mágica last July on the occasion of the Spanish Basketball Team’s qualification match for the Qatar 2027 World Cup. It included product tasting, a rest area and a photo booth.
