Brad Pitt may have played characters subjected to extraordinary situations, but his latest challenge consists of something apparently much simpler: managing to calmly enjoy a cup of coffee while living with 16 dogs who have opinions on practically everything he does.
It is the approach of De’Longhi’s new global campaign, created by Lola Madrid, directed by Spike Jonze and produced by MJZ. The piece presents “Magnifica Duo”, the company’s new automatic coffee maker, capable of preparing different coffee recipes with milk, both hot and cold.
The campaign continues the creative collaboration between De’Longhi and Brad Pitt
The campaign continues the creative collaboration between De’Longhi and Brad Pitt, but introduces a particularly humorous tone to develop the “Perfetto” territory. On this occasion, the search for that perfect coffee is faced with a multitude of coexistence in which, until the most everyday moment, it seems subject to the scrutiny of the group.
Spike Jonze sets the story in a house that Brad Pitt shares with 16 peculiar companions, many of whom, according to the story, he has known since college. We soon discover that these companions are his dogs and that each one has his own personality, his concerns and, above all, something to reproach him for.
Lawrence wants to know why he’s up late. Kyle wonders why the dishes remain uncleaned. Patrick needs to understand why he’s dressed up so much. And Pitt tries to make his way through the group’s opinions with a much less ambitious objective: finding a few minutes to calmly drink his coffee.
“Brad is so charismatic that making fun of him only adds to his charm.”explains Tomás Ostiglia, Chief Creative Officer of Lola Madrid. The creative highlights that Spike Jonze built a universe in which the 16 dogs have “their own cheeky characters and strong opinions on coffee.”
The choice of the director also provides a recognizable look to the campaign. Jonze takes an apparently ordinary situation into strange and humorous terrain without losing the naturalness of the scene, making coexistence with the dogs the element that allows us to talk about the product without building the entire narrative around its features.
Duality constitutes precisely the product argument
Cold or hot coffee, depending on the moment
Duality constitutes precisely the product argument. And the “Magnifica Duo” allows you to automatically prepare hot and cold coffee recipes, a feature that De’Longhi connects with the different moods, seasons and moments in which coffee can be enjoyed.
The brand brings that capacity to the creative concept through the contrasts that run through history: successes and mistakes, tranquility and chaos, cold and hot. In the middle of all of them, coffee appears as that small personal ritual that Pitt tries to preserve.
“We believe that Perfetto is the spirit of immersing yourself in the moment of coffee, Italian style, but perfected according to your tastes”says Aparna Sundaresh, Global Chief Marketing Officer of the company. “Our Duo range is designed precisely for that: to serve your Perfetto, your way, hot or cold, in any season and mood.”
The work will begin its international deployment this September and will have a presence on television, digital platforms and social networks.
The campaign also represents a new chapter in a creative relationship between De’Longhi and Lola Madrid which, this year, has received one of the industry’s main recognitions. The Spanish agency won the Industry Craft Grand Prix for “Tiny Coffee Shops” at Cannes Lions 2026, the first obtained by Spain in this category, in addition to a Gold Lion in Outdoor.
In that campaign, LOLA Madrid transformed different De’Longhi coffee makers into detailed models of coffee shops in Milan, Tokyo, Paris, Copenhagen and Berlin, handcrafted by designer Simon Weisse, known for his miniature works for filmmakers such as Wes Anderson. The proposal sought to transfer the experience of a coffee shop to the home through design and craftsmanship, and reached 6.8 million impressions, in addition to generating, according to the brand and the agency, the highest peak in searches for De’Longhi in the last six years.
