Rodilla, the restaurant chain specializing in sandwiches, makes the leap into the field of cosmetics with the co-branding of a collection of flavored makeup. These are two lip glosses created together with makeup artist David Francés and inspired by the brand’s specialty coffees and smoothies.
The glosses, as Rodilla explains in a statement, provide shine, color and also flavor to the lips: one salted caramel and the other strawberry. It is a special action that seeks to unite gastronomy and beauty with a fun and appetizing twist, seeking to turn each coffee or smoothie into something that, in addition to being tasted, can also be shown off. The company’s goal is to expand its gastronomic and brand experience beyond the palate.
The glitters are part of a promotional strategy, since Rodilla gives them away with the purchase of any of its specialty coffees or smoothies, made with 100% Arabica coffee and natural smoothies. However, it has created two specific combinations that unite each drink with its respective gloss flavor: on the one hand, it offers its Iced Salted Caramel cold coffee and the salted caramel gloss for 3.15 euros; and on the other hand, the strawberry and banana smoothie with the strawberry gloss for 4.5 euros.
As explained by Rodilla, the intention is to connect with new trends by providing a multisensory experience. “We wanted to surprise our customers with something different, that went beyond the product and connected with their lifestyle.“; commented Iván Pulido, Marketing Manager of the brand, in the statement. “This collaboration allows us to unite two universes, gastronomy and beauty, in a fun, innovative and very Rodilla way.”.
The brand also points out that the special edition of glitter is not only an innovative action, but will also help elevate the brand by having the expert vision of David Francés. He believes that the association has been an opportunity to explore beauty from another perspective. “These glosses not only stand out for their aesthetics, but are also in tune with the flavors; a truly stimulating fusion. We wanted the experience to be completely sensory, where flavor and finish were equally irresistible.”, explains the makeup artist in the statement.
The glitter edition seeks to support the arrival of new à la carte products from the chain. Recently, Rodilla has incorporated, precisely, the Iced Salted Caramel, while it has expanded its smoothie range with the launch of the Açai flavor.
