Jungle, the company that brings together, among others, the creative agency PS21 or the communication agency True, has acquired Prodigioso Volcán, the consulting firm founded by Mario Tascón and María Moya in 2010. The move is part of the company’s inorganic growth plan and its development and expansion strategy.
The operation, which has been in development for almost two years, involves the integration of Prodigioso Volcán into the group, after fifteen years of experience focused on cultural transformation, communication, design, narrative and content and the development of a differential value proposal that combines journalistic criteria, design and technology.
Prodigioso Volcán was founded by Mario Tascón, a key figure in digital journalism
A fundamental part of the consultancy’s distinctive personality was forged by Mario Tascón, a key figure in the development of digital journalism and a reference in the transformation of communication on the Internet. He died at the age of 60, in September 2023.
From Prodigioso Volcán they consider the movement as a “great step on your path“and the beginning of a new stage.”Now, there is no Volcano without Jungle, nor Jungle without Volcano“, they have expressed through their LinkedIn profile. “A new stage that will give rise to one of the largest independent creative groups in Spain, integrating communication, creativity, design and technology capabilities.”.
In an official statement, María Moya, Co-Founder and President of Prodigioso Volcán, has assured that the operation will enhance the growth of the consulting firm. “This integration allows us to take our way of understanding communication to a much larger scale, without giving up our identity..”, he said, pointing out that Jungle is “the perfect partner” for “grow without losing what makes us unique”.
María Moya will continue to lead the project together with Jorge Martín-Luengo, who will continue to serve as Executive Business Director; and Antonio Pasagali, who will continue as Executive Creative Director. Carolina Miyata, Partner & Managing Director at the consulting firm, assumes the general direction of the company.
For Jungle, the operation reinforces its positioning in strategic and narrative transformation. As explained in the statement issued, Prodigioso Volcán provides prestige at a time when the relevance of communicating rigorously in complex environments is growing. “It is a coherent integration with our way of growing, based on adding specialization in key areas“, commented Agustín Vivancos, CEO of Jungle. On LinkedIn, the manager shared the details of the acquisition process, which date back to March 2024, almost two years ago.
Prodigioso Volcán is the sixth company integrated into Jungle in the last two years. During this time, among others, it has acquired Rocket, a company specialized in technology and digital marketing; Move Branding, specialized in branding and design; the innovation consultancy Liquid Lab; or the creative agency Bum.
These are added to others carried out since 2022, when Jungle was created, such as that of the football magazine Libero; digital agency Full Circle Karma; or Pink, Germán Silva’s creative boutique.
