Balenciaga has announced a new collaboration with the NBA, a capsule collection that transfers the aesthetic codes of professional basketball to the territory of luxury fashion. The proposal represents one of the first relevant movements of the house under the creative direction of Pierpaolo Piccioli, after the departure of Demna Gvasalia, and reinforces sport as one of the brand’s central languages.

Far from being presented as a simple union of logos, the collection articulates a contemporary reading of clothing based on concepts such as body, movement and physical presence. Basketball appears as an aesthetic reference, forming part of a cultural framework that connects the court with the street and fashion with identity.
